The Bloom Collective | Freelensing, Tilt Shift, Lensbaby or Alternative Lens II
“Life is but a day:
A fragile dewdrop on its perilous way
From a tree’s summit”
-John Keats
If a life is but a day, a dewdrop falling from a tree, then I’m catching it’s branches to remember the trip. The gentle touch of a little hand, the giggle of a baby not able to be contained, a hug between brothers; all branches I want to keep with me as I fall.
I love the art of freelensing because it creates a dreamy, surreal feel in which everything melts into the blur of a manual tilt shift and forces you to focus on the tiny details within the shot. It takes a moment in the midst of chaos and allows it to remain for a lifetime.
