Session Spotlight – Francesca Russell

They say there is nothing like New York City in the spring and for those of us lucky enough to experience it, we agree whole heartedly. Even more spectacular is being able to tag along as a spectator to the wonder brought about by a visitor’s first trip to the city. New York’s own Francesca Russell played to all our year’s spring daydreams with this gorgeous family session set in the one and only Big Apple.

“One can’t paint New York as it is, but rather as it is felt.”
— GEORGIA O’KEEFFE

As a long-time resident of New York City, I just love showing visitors around this vibrant place I call home. When I had the opportunity to show this sweet Florida family a few of the midtown sights and document the experience with photographs and video, I was so excited. We met at Top of the Rock bright and early and had the whole place practically to ourselves. Central Park was next on the agenda for a breakfast picnic and some exploring. We finished the session playing with the model sailboats at the Conservatory Water on the east side of the park. It was one of my favorite sessions to date, combining my love for New York City with my love for preserving family stories!
