Tuesday Tips #271 – Embrace the Summer
Don't look at us crazy but have you ever considered adding a prism to your camera bag? Here us out here because summer's sun makes right now an awfully good time to give it a try! Simply pick up a prism like this one and hold it over your lens as you are shooting — try horizontal, vertical or even diagonal. Some photographers find it easier to decide where and how they like it in conjunction with the sun and their subjects by shooting in Live View Mode.

As you would during shooting in cold weather, it is of the utmost importance that you also protect your camera, film and gear from the hot weather elements as well. One of the major problems facing photographers in extremely hot weather is condensation on and in lenses. When at all possible, limit changing your lenses in hot humid weather. If you are in a pinch and must swap lenses, you best bet is to move indoors into a cool, dry room and allow your gear to cool

Once you've found the best vantage point for your drone shot, consider shooting just a little wider than you think you'll need. The extra room will allow you to do some shifting and rotating in post so that you can ensure your featured lines are straight as can be.
