While some stock photo platforms charge upwards of 50% commission for purchases of your photos, it is not the only path to selling your microstock images online. If you have a large collection of images you see fit to sell as stock, you can now do so directly from your own site. Plug-ins like Sell Media allow you to create your own shop-like platform within blogsites like WordPress so that you can skip the commissions and 100% of the purchase price goes directly to you. While you won’t benefit from the traffic that is generated at the larger sites, this avenue will allow you to have total control of the sale of your images from beginning to end.
