Tuesday Tips #266 – Ace the Aerial

A few years back when we first heard that high pitched buzzing above our heads, we honestly though that drones would be one of those come and go fads that would be long gone by now. Seems we were wrong and to be honest, now that we see what these little guys are capable of, we’re kind of glad we were. Prior to drones, aerial photography capabilities were only made possible when photographers actually took flight themselves and considering the cost, that didn’t leave many opportunities for the greater photographer population. Now, thanks to drones, new angles are finally ours for the taking and we’re ready to take the leap.

Before you even start in on the research for the best drone to buy for you, be 100% in the know of the laws and restrictions in your city and state. The #1 golden rule here is to simply be courteous and polite. In this day and age, you’ve certainly already a drone fly over you when you would have preferred it not so keep that in the back of your mind. Treat your drone as you would with any camera pointed at a complete stranger and ask permission.
