Tuesday Tips #299 – Shooting that Wonderful Winter Snow
With all that vast beautiful white snow, contrast is a must for a compelling photograph. Do yourself a favor and wear your lens hood to prevent the glare from the snow which can create a haze in your images that will cause you to lose the distinguishment of your lights and darks. A polarizing filter may also be something to consider to also cut out the glare but in addition, it can also bring back the color to your skies.
“Balancing hopes, desires and an appreciating of the possibilities with a clear-eyed assessment of the limitations: that is the art of choosing.”
