Tuesday Tips #300 – Shooting that Wonderful Winter Snow

If you are lucky enough to be in the elements while snow is currently falling, boy, are you in luck! During actively falling snow, you can create two different looks with your photogrpahy just by adjusting your shutter speed. If you’re looking to freeze the falling snow, make sure your shutter speed is 1/500 and higher. Looking for more of a dreamy look? Shutter speeds at around 1/30 will blur the flakes as they fall, creating a stunning blurry flurry.

“It is our choices… that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”
