Tuesday Tips #303 – Finding Your Way through Documenting

In documentary photography, you don’t get a big say in how things are going to go and you’re forced to react and change up things like locations and settings at a moment’s notice. This can be very uncomfortable for those of us who are not quick at changing our settings but rest assured, the more you practice this genre of art, the better your technical skills will be. As we’ve said, even if documentary photography isn’t a match made in heaven for you, it will prepare you for unforeseen circumstances and in the end, make you better photographer – no matter what kind you are!

“Be willing to be uncomfortable. Be comfortable being uncomfortable. It may get tough, but it’s a small price to pay for living a dream.”
-Peter McWilliams
