Tuesday Tips #319 – Get Your Head(shot) in the Game

While headshots may feel like a quick “in and out” kind of job, the reality is that they require just as much pre-discussion with your client as your average family session. Consult with your client to determine what the best setting is for the portrait. While a real estate agent of a major city may want a photo set in an urban setting, a local accountant may prefer a simple gray or white background. Once the location is set, wardrobe is the next discussion to tackle. This will ensure your client walks away with the most complimentary photograph possible that also fits the brand of their business. Who knows? You may luck out and find a client that wants something creative and unconventional!
